| Synopsis: | This film tells the dramatic and amusing story of Theo Winter (played by Götz George), a 65-year-old cynic who is obsessed by plans, structure and order. For this reason Theo’s job has always been much more important to him than his family. His relationship with his children Theresa and Oliver has long been dysfunctional, and the sudden death of his wife Gabriela breaks the last ties that bind them. When Theo’s application to continue working past his retirement age is turned down, he is devastated – his life and his ideals are in ruins. By coincidence, the 17-year-old Johanna enters his life – from now on the two of them are inextricably linked by fate and have to help each other to find their respective ways back into life. |
